Nothing says summer quite like a bright yellow dress! I remember scoring this Calvin Klein dress from the Goodwill a couple of months ago for just about $6.00. I knew it would be a great summer dress but I didn't know how fabulous I would feel wearing it since I didn't even try it on (I was rushing) lol. I paired this look with a beautiful necklace from missbellydance.com and gold bangles. The shoes were a pair that have been sitting in my closet for over 10 years the brand is Naughty Monkey and I remember purchasing them from a boutique. I love the way this look came together it was fun with a touch of sass!!!
This post is waaaaay late but I am still a work in progress *insert prayer hands*. I LOVE thrift shopping! It's like going on a treasure hunt for me because you never know what you are going to find. Sometimes I actually speak certain items into existence lol for example, I can say to myself before I head out that I am looking for a blue blazer to wear for X event and magically a blue blazer will appear. Maybe its some kind of ESP but I definitely believe that there is strength in words. The best part about thrift shopping is that it gives you the opportunity to take something old and something new and create something hot!!! I follow quite a few thrifted fanshionistas and I'm also great friends with some and they inspire me to think outside of the box when it comes to my own personal fashion. I always forget to take pictures of my thrifted outfits so I am making a more conscious effort to do that now. On this particular day I was going out to run some errands. I took a quick stroll through my neighborhood which is filled with street art which made for a great backdrop of my thrifted ensemble. Being fashionable doesn't always have to come with a huge price tag thank goodness!!!
Yesterday was officially the longest day of the year also known as "Summer Solstice" . Unfortunately I didn't have a chance to get out and enjoy some good ole vitamin D 😞. I came across this picture from vacation last weekend and it reminded me of what I should have been doing yesterday lol. #HelloSummer #Summer16
Where my girls at!!!
One of the best parts about planning a wedding is getting together with your bridal party to share a few laughs. I love this shot taken at our wedding party brunch. This is the first bridal function we hosted and we are looking forward to spending more time with our "Happily Ever Alexander" crew. #CrewLove ❤️
There is nothing better than giving and receiving love. While making selections from our engagement photoshoot we came across this shot and it is one of my favorites. This photo says so much to me and I wanted to share it because it's a pretty dope shot and it focuses on what matter the most and that is.... LOVE
I recently had the opportunity to sightsee in Seattle for a few hours. I literally only had 15 hours so time was not of the essence. I was determined to make the most of my short stay and was actually able to see some pretty cool things. I would definitely love to go back and visit sometime very soon. Check out photos from my mini adventure below....
Puerto Rico has a very special place in my heart. It's one of my favorite places to visit. I was going through my pictures and stumbled upon this beauty taken from the balcony of my room at the Intercontinental in San Juan. This view was breathtaking and immediately brought a smile to my face.
